One so-called ‘hero’ was Fidel Castro, a Marxist-Leninist by his own admission. The New York Times and Dan Rather lauded him as a liberator. Yet, he killed 100,00 people, put 30,000 in jail for political purposes, and drove Cuba into poverty while he amassed a fortune.
